I’m Mark Messina—founder of SOSRA Consulting. For over a decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of structure and scale, helping purpose-driven leaders turn fog into focus.
But here’s what most people don’t see: I didn’t start in consulting. I started in the trenches—building teams from scratch, fixing broken systems, and watching great ideas stall out not from lack of talent, but from lack of alignment.
My Story
From war zones to boardrooms—clarity has always been the mission.

I’m Mark Messina. Before I ever stepped into consulting, I spent 15 years solving problems in the highest-stakes environments imaginable—first as a U.S. Army Senior Enlisted Advisor, then as a builder of tactical ventures and crisis-response systems that serve those who serve.
Over and over, I learned the same truth:
Success doesn’t come from more hustle. It comes from alignment.

As a soldier, I led joint-force operations that demanded precision under pressure. As a founder, I scaled a defense manufacturing company from concept to acquisition. As a nonprofit leader, I built support systems now used by thousands of veterans and frontline responders across the country.
But titles weren’t the point. Patterns were.
I kept seeing high-integrity leaders stuck—not because they lacked effort, but because they lacked structure.
